Below is a series of videos featuring our author, Phyllis Zhang on different aspects of the Ni Wo Ta textbook program.  The videos are narrated in Chinese, with slides in both English and Chinese.  We will be adding new videos as they become available, so do check back again soon!

This first video gives an overview of the Ni Wo Ta program - its key features, the target audience, the recommended course duration based on student profile and contact hours, and the various program components.

Part II: Textbook Structure

This video explains how the textbook is structured to achieve the pedagogical objectives, and how much time to devote to each chapter element.

Part III: Sample Unit (Main Lessons)

This video walks you through a typical lesson in a unit, section by section.  It also shows how the iLrn's e-Book complements the textbook to enhance the learning experience inside and outside of the classroom.

Part IV: Sample Unit (Literacy Development)

This video shows how Chinese character writing, pinyin, character recognition and word processing are introduced and practiced throughout the program.

Part V: Sample Unit (Review and Integration)

This video talks more about the end-of-unit Review and Integration section - the types of activities you can expect to see, and how these activities may be used to measure and reinforce student learning.   This same suite of activities are also available on the iLrn Heinle Learning Center, which offers automatic grading with results flowing directly into the online grade book.
